Cookies and browser storage

This page describes what is used by the informational website heromio.com and the learning platform heromio.com/math. Browser storage is not always a cookie, so these technologies are described separately.

1. Informational website

The HTML pages of this public website do not include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other third-party advertising tracking scripts. These pages do not themselves set localStorage values. The website server may record technical request logs; a server log is not a browser cookie.

2. Learning platform storage

Technology	Purpose	Retention and control
`localStorage`	User settings, local profiles, learning state, progress, login session data and device identifier. The application code uses, among others, `lh_remote_session_v1370`, `lh_student_session_v1410` and `lh_device_id_v13110`.	Data may remain in the browser after it is closed until removed by the application or browser. Remote session validity is also checked by the server. Clearing browser data may remove local data that has not yet been synchronized.
`sessionStorage`	State for a single browser tab, including the visitor technical session identifier `lh_visitor_session_v17048`.	Normally disappears when the relevant tab/session is closed; it may be deleted earlier through browser data controls.
Session and technical data on the server	Login verification, access protection and technical troubleshooting.	Server-side data is not automatically deleted when browser storage is cleared.

3. Internal visitor diagnostics

The learning platform uses its own visitor activity diagnostics. When the platform is opened and used, a technical activity message is sent approximately every 60 sekundžių The message may record session ID, visited page path, generalized user role, IP address, browser/operating system information, automated-bot indicator and visit/last-activity times. This is internal system statistics, not Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

In the application configuration example, visitor diagnostics retention is set to 7 dienoms; the application code allows a range of 1–30 days. The exact live-server retention period depends on its configuration and must be confirmed on the server.

4. Advertising and external-service tracking

The informational website and learning platform currently do not use Google Analytics or Meta Pixel tracking scripts. Links to Facebook and Instagram are not the same as embedding their tracking code. When you open an external website, its own privacy and cookie terms apply.

5. How can data be managed or deleted?

You can sign out of the learning platform and remove heromio.com website data in your browser settings. Before deleting data, check that the child’s learning progress has been synchronized with the account. Clearing browser data alone does not delete a student or school profile stored on the server.
